My opinion:
Ming Ji sells traditional Singapore Chinese noodles. For this food review, I have tried their wanton noodles for $3.00. There were 3 steamed wantons, 5 char siew slices and moderate amount of noodles in my takeaway packet. Fried wantons and green chili slices were considered "missing in action".
Steamed wantons were chewy and juicy. Wanton skin was not too thick or thin and mixed nicely with the meat ingredients. Char siew was soft, tender and did not have charred or fatty portions. Noodles were fragrant, springy, well cooked and bathed in addictive thick sauce. Chili was not too hot, just right for noodle meals. I also noticed there were 3 pieces of pork lard. Singaporeans with health problems should refrain from eating these delicious but unhealthy food items.
In conclusion, the food here was good but had a few minor flaws that prevented the stall from greatness. The owners are strongly advised to add 1 fried wanton and some green chili slices to the food. If you are a wanton noodles fan living in Bedok or Tampines, this stall is strongly recommended by my website.
